The cultures that inhabited our territory developed the cult of water, creating a society and urban spaces articulated with this fundamental element, a hydro-social territory. Thanks to natural water sources such as snow-capped mountains, lagoons, springs, rivers and rain, it was possible to carry out agricultural practices, which was one of the fundamental activities of the society of ancient Peru.

From the natural flow of water in the Andean territory, channels, ditches, huachaques, aqueducts, wells, as well as spaces of worship to water using the stone of the hills, were built.

The pieces under the name Hydrolytic are sculptural objects made of stone from the Andes that do not approach the ritual of water in contemporary life. They explore the relationship between lithic material and the fluid nature of water in the territory.
