Filters is a sixty piece lighting installation that explores, through the perforation of metallic plates, different degrees of opacity and translucency, as well as the variation and projection of light in the space. Filters transforms the everyday object of a lamp into a sculptural piece whose materiality allows it to oscillate between the opaque and the luminous. The pieces as a whole create an experience of rhythm and light variation in space. Filters is an exploration of the porosity of a normally solid material such as metal and its relationship with the passage of light. The installation was conceived together with the architect Silvana Cossio
