The piece is developed from the search and collection of waste materials from old buildings. In the last decade, Lima city experienced a rapid process of urban densification. Old houses have been replaced by generic multi-family buildings in concrete. Beam is a structural element and a fragment of the city’s constructive memory. An object loaded with memory that speaks to us of constant transformation and interaction between the space and matter we inhabit.
