WATER FILTER N°2

The Water Filter series includes pieces made from research in artisan water purification processes. The pieces speak of our historical relationship with this element, fundamental for the inhabitation of desert ecosystems. Water originates in our territory in the heights of the Andes and descends through a complex system of rivers and canals, as well as through processes of infiltration and condensation. Pre-Columbian civilizations developed canalization techniques and created purification techniques through minerals and plant organisms. Water was used in rituals as the element that purified the body and fertilized the land.    

Water Filter establishes a contrast with the current context where industrial and extractive practices generate a high contamination and waste of this resource.
